Our main goal is to build the kingdom of God through educational exploration which nurtures your kiddo’s gifts which have already been realized and those which are yet to be discovered in an effort to promote great success through an exciting life lived on HIS purpose! This simple approach has effectively fueled our growth since we opened our doors in 2006. About Us
The Full Story
As educators with over 20 plus years of teaching experience we discovered early on in our careers that the traditional classrooms that we taught in limited us on many important, positive, foundational principles that assist with having a successful start in life! Without hesitation this once young husband and wife couple decided it was time to exit the classroom and create a program that taught students beyond the four wall structure and limited standards! Our goal starting first through Christ based precepts is to cultivate our student’s God given gifts and talents, discover undiscovered interest and hobbies through exploration of a variety of hands on educational activities. Our hope is that with the discovery or reiteration of their own power and authority coupled with the desire to only explore that which was created to be right will lead them on the narrow road that leads to life! We are supporting you in curating culture changers and kingdom builders who have bellies flowing with living waters positively impacting those around them! As counter culture as it seems in this superficial social media era we’ve discovered it’s actually not at all “About Us” it’s about you and your kiddo(s) and how we can serve you in ensuring they have a successful start for the glory of God!

Before and Afterschool
Owned and operated by licensed teachers, as former educators we know the importance of making the most of your time between school and home! We’ve curated a program tailored to fit your before or after schoolers’ needs! Whether it’s simply safe transport and care to and or from school, a need for tutorial, or a desire to explore educational areas of interest through our clubs and activities we have an individual educational plan just for your scholar! With daily biblical studies as the foundation, branching into areas that foster growth and development through fun you’re sure to have great success when diligence is maintained! We’d like to coin a title grander than Before and Afterschool because our program incorporates so much more!!!!
Summer Camp
This is one of our most favorite programs each year!!! From weekly horse back riding lessons to jet setting…you name it we do it!!! No really, you the scholar name what you’d like to do and we try our best to do it! After all HE gives us the desires of our hearts right? So why not do our best to make each summer the best summer yet! Our campers return each year with growing excitement about what we will do next! We build, we travel, we camp, we launch businesses, we make God’s world our classroom! We hope their teachers have lots of time and paper when they want to know what they did last summer!!!
Tutorial by licensed educators
We encourage our scholars to achieve academic success that is above and beyond the expectation! In over 20 years in education we haven’t met a single scholar who wasn’t capable of doing so!!! With simple methods and consistent academic support we can help your scholar achieve grade level mastery and beyond. Tutorial has sometimes gotten a bad rep, it’s often limited and placed in a box for students who might be catching up but not here at SSLC! We encourage scholars to explore tutoring in areas of interest which are not taught in traditional classrooms or take their academic astuteness up a grade level or two or three!!!
Horses and Homework
This is one of our most unique and singularly focused services available. Our scholars of the horses and homework program come for two things, to complete and master their homework and the horses! You guessed it, this portion of the SSLC family gets guided practice with homework and guided practice in horsemanship as they learn to care for and ride our equine rescues. For years we have watched our budding equine experts love and care for these gentle giants as they exit previous unknown environments into a place where they receive grace, love and care! Several of our SSLC equestrians have become owners of their own fur friends! We believe if our scholars learn early that they can lovingly gain the trust and lead a gentle giant how much more capable and confident will they be when it comes to lovingly leading a corporation, a community, or changing a culture! It’s all apart of giving our youth a successful start!
